What a great time I have had this past week on vacation! It has been a much needed vacation as I was starting to feel overwhelmed at work. I needed a complete break from all work activities and I got it! I still have one more day off tomorrow (Mon) and back to work on Tuesday. I will definitely be refreshed and fired up! Janel and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary last weekend. We were able to get away for a couple days alone. It was a great time and it was a break we needed! We have spent most of my vacation together and it has been a blessing. I never understood couples who need a "break" from each other. We have always wanted more time together, not breaks! I am blessed to share this life with her! I have a video that I will be uploading today or tomorrow on our two day adventure. Stay tuned. Well....only 2 more weeks until butchering day! It goes by quick. I'm looking forward to getting some fresh and healthy chicken in the freezer. I absolutely love raising my own food. I'm not even close to where I want to be in growing/raising my own food, but I am getting there. Looking forward to growing the Homestead over the next few years. God has been good to us! Check out our latest video from the Homestead below. Thank you for stopping by the blog and God bless! -Steve What a beautiful and full weekend I had! I have said this before....but I love this time of year! I love cool nights, hoodies, fires, harvest time, hunting season and everything else that goes into the end of summer/fall seasons! We had a wonderful weekend together as a family. I absolutely love being with my wife and kiddo's. We had another outdoor movie night on Saturday (Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian) and a fire with smores. That was after a full day outside mowing and other projects around the Homestead. I enjoy projects and playing around the Homestead. It is a great joy that the Lord has given me. He knows my heart.....and yours too! He has chosen to bless me with so much and I am incredibly thankful for His mercy and grace! Sunday we had a great message at church from Romans. What a great time of fellowship. We came home and went for a 3 mile hike with the family. It was a little warm, but not too bad. We came home and I did some shooting at the Homestead Range that I have and then edited a couple videos as I relaxed on the back deck watching the kiddo's have fun playing on the swings and going for rides on the four wheelers. Back to work tomorrow, but I do not dread going back to work. I actually love my job! Another blessing from the Lord. I love the challenges and the grind. I always have. Not sure why, but it is something that I need. I've always been able to excel at challenges. On a side note, I am looking for a route sales rep if you know of anyone! Shoot me an email through our contact page. You can find out all the job information here. I would like to take a moment to thank all of our supporters out there. We get a lot of good feedback via email, Facebook, YouTube and other avenues as well. Most of the time it is great encouragement and love and we appreciate that. God is so good. I am excited to see what He has in store for us in the future! Check out my video below that I made of my two deer stands. It's getting close to archery season! Can't wait. Thank you for stopping by the blog and God bless! -Steve |
