We use the words from the Abeka Spelling program. We have used Abeka for many years and I keep coming back to it for it's content, thoroughness and Strong Christian foundation. I type the kids words from their Abeka list into Spelling City!

Spelling City
We LOVE Spelling City...we've been using this site for years for our spelling words. It's is perfect for multiple students, keeping various lists saved for later use, and practicing words with games. My kids use it about 3x per week. I type in their lists and they would just click on it, and the site reads the words, spells them letter-by-letter, & uses each in a sentence. Parents are even able to type in the sentence they want used for each word.
For now, we just use the FREE option which is great. I am even able to print our worksheets and lists for them in the case that we'll be unable to be near the computer or for additional practice.
My kids take a practice test and a final test on Spelling City too. Once they are finished, I can save these in PDF or print them for their portfolios. Works GREAT!
